The Original Thread Shield THS-1 The 1 1/2" Thread Shield is easily inserted into the 1 1/2" female adapters or vacuum fittings normally used for the standard return fitting. Once inserted, the threads are semi-sealed so as to prevent contamination of the threads from any outside source. Once the pool is filled with water, the Thread Shield are easily removed so that return fitting can be re-installed in the clean threads of the female adapter. Thread Shields are effective protection while gunniting, sand blasting, plastering, painting, fiber glassing, and all major refurbishing projects. |

Pipe Shields PSH-1.0, PSH-1.5
The 1 " & 1 1/2" Pipe Shield is easily inserted into the end of flush cut 1" or 1 1/2" schedule 40 PVC pipe used for returns or other specialty lines. Once inserted the flush cut pipe is protected from contamination form any outside source. Once the pool is filled with water, the Pipe Shield are easily removed. Pipe Shields are effective protection while gunniting, sand blasting, plastering, painting, fiber glassing, and all major refurbishing projects. |

Thread Shield Detector

For use with the Thread Shield 2
Locates the "lost" plumbing port when a Thread Shied 2 was used during "plastering" operation. Also locates embedded steel re-bar in order to avoid hitting re-bar when cutting an additional port through the wall. Works equally well when pool is empty or full of water. Unit is weighted to make under water searching easy. Unit is waterproof, and made of rugged impact resistant construction. Comes with a 35" strap.

How to use the Shields The Shields are easily inserted into the fitting normally used for the standard return fitting, and many other specialty returns. Once inserted, the ports are semi-sealed so as to prevent contamination of the interior from any outside source. Once the pool is filled with water, the Shields are removed by the following simple steps: 1) Insert small screwdriver between the inner and outer parts of the Shield. 2) Pry sideways slightly until the inner part pops out. 3) If necessary, uncover the rim of the outer cup with screwdriver. 4) Insert screwdriver along outer edge of outer cup and pry sideways slightly until up is deformed enough to slip free. |
